Holt VC Primary School

'Jim's workshop was very engaging. We really enjoyed hearing about his writing process and how he works with the illustrator. He made the session great fun and gave the children opportunities to create their own portals, survival kits and monsters. We were even treated to a live reading and ukulele playing. Thanks, Jim, for all the hard work you put in to making this workshop so enjoyable.'
Cypress Primary School

'Years 1 and 2 had a very exciting visit from author Jim Beckett this morning. The children had a great time playing games with Jim, exploring whether they were more wolf or more sausage, and imagining unlikely animal friends. Jim ended his visit by helping the children to create a collaborative story, which he then performed as a song on his ukulele.'
Peasedown St John Primary School

'Jim entertained the children with a glimpse into his new book, Buzz Sausage Wolf. They also took part in a survey to see if they were more sausage or wolf, met Ollie the Orangutan and listened to Jim sing a song inspired by their story ideas!
It was a brilliant opportunity for the children to meet an author and hear what inspired him to write stories.'
Shoreham Beach Primary School

'Years 1, 2 and 3 had an exciting morning when Jim Beckett came in to talk about his hilarious book, Buzz Sausage Wolf. The children had the chance to create their own spin-off version of the story and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jim.'
Hawridge and Cholesbury Primary School

'Years 1-3 were so lucky to have a visit from a real-life author who told us all about his book, Buzz Sausage Wolf. Jim Beckett gave a very entertaining assembly where we got to think about unlikely friendships between animals (how would a shark and a bee be friends?), hear a silly song sung by an orangutan, and create our very own sequel!'
